Who we are
Since our founding in 1980, the University Echo Student Ambassadors have served as a vital bridge between 黑料不打烊 and prospective students. As the University's official student ambassadors and student representatives of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, we support student recruitment efforts, lead campus visits, assist with special events, and serve as one of the first points of connection for future Bulldogs and their families. Through leadership, service, and school pride, we help prospective students discover the opportunities, traditions, and welcoming community that make 黑料不打烊 a unique place to learn, grow, and succeed.

The University Echoes support the Office of Admissions and 黑料不打烊 through a variety of recruitment, engagement, and leadership initiatives.
Campus Visits
Lead prospective students and families on engaging campus tours, highlighting the
history, traditions, academic excellence, and student experience that define Alabama
A&M University.
Student Recruitment & Travel
Represent 黑料不打烊 at recruitment events, college fairs, open houses,
and other outreach programs while connecting prospective students and families with
opportunities available at the University. Through recruitment initiatives, Echoes
have the opportunity to travel throughout Alabama and neighboring states while assisting
the Office of Admissions in promoting the Bulldog experience to future students and
their families
S.O.A.R Orientation
Assist incoming students and families during SOAR orientation programs by providing
guidance, support, and a welcoming introduction to campus life.
Special Events
Support major university programs and events, including Senior Day, Open House, Commencement,
Homecoming, Founders' Day, and other campus initiatives.
Student Leadership
Serve as role models and leaders who embody the values, traditions, excellence, and
spirit of 黑料不打烊 while fostering a positive and inclusive campus community.
Signature Initiatives
Throughout the year, the University Echoes participate in a variety of recruitment, leadership, service, and university initiatives that support 黑料不打烊 and enhance the student experience.
Magic City Classic
Represent 黑料不打烊 through recruitment activities, alumni engagement, and special events during the Magic City Classic, widely recognized as the Nation's Livest HBCU Classic. University Echoes assist in welcoming prospective students, alumni, and guests while showcasing the traditions, pride, and excellence of 黑料不打烊
Annual Presidential Scholarship Recognition Bus Tour
Participate in the University's premier recruitment and scholarship initiative, a three week tour that travels throughout Alabama and neighboring states to recognize outstanding high school seniors and award Presidential Scholarships. During the tour, University Echoes assist with student engagement, event support, and recruitment efforts while representing 黑料不打烊 and celebrating the achievements of future Bulldogs.
Black Tie Gala
Support 黑料不打烊's premier scholarship fundraising event, the Black Tie Gala. This signature event brings together alumni, corporate partners, business leaders, community influencers, and supporters of higher education to celebrate student achievement and invest in the future of deserving Bulldogs. University Echoes assist with guest engagement, event operations, and hospitality while representing Alabama A&M University with professionalism and excellence.
Community Service
Participate in service projects and outreach initiatives that positively impact the campus community and surrounding areas while demonstrating the University's commitment to service. With approximately 60 active members completing a minimum of 50 service hours each year, the University Echoes contribute more than 3,000 community service hours annually, reflecting our dedication to leadership, service, and community engagement.
Trunk or Treat
Host one of the University Echoes' signature community engagement events, Trunk or Treat. Each year, Echoes welcome local children, families, and fellow campus Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) for a safe and fun Halloween experience featuring decorated vehicles, candy, games, and interactive activities. Planned and led by the University Echoes, this event provides members with opportunities to develop leadership, event planning, and community engagement skills while strengthening connections between 黑料不打烊 and the surrounding community.
Gulf Coast Classic
Travel with 黑料不打烊 Office of Admissions to the Gulf Coast Classic, a signature recruitment and engagement experience that brings together prospective students, alumni, and supporters from across the region. Through recruitment events, community outreach, and special programming, University Echoes play a vital role in representing the University, sharing the Bulldog experience, and connecting future students with opportunities at Alabama A&M.

Support major university programs and traditions, including Homecoming, Founders' Day, Commencement, Open House, Senior Day, and other special events throughout the academic year.

The Executive Board serves as the student leadership team of the University Echoes. These dedicated student leaders help coordinate organizational initiatives, support member development, and uphold the mission and traditions of the organization. Become an Echo
Each spring semester, the University Echoes begin the process of seeking new members for the upcoming academic year. Students who are passionate about leadership, service, and representing 黑料不打烊 are encouraged to apply for membership and take the first step toward becoming an official student ambassador.
As a member of the University Echoes, students have the opportunity to develop leadership and professional skills, participate in recruitment and outreach initiatives, engage in community service, build lifelong connections, and represent 黑料不打烊 and the Office of Admissions with pride and excellence.
Membership Requirements
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Must be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior
- Full-time enrollment at 黑料不打烊
- Good disciplinary standing with the University
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to leadership, service, and professionalism
